Salem is of course most widely known for its Halloween Traditions as part of the cities history of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 however has most recently become a city desirable for many younger couples looking to purchase their first home as the downtown area features highly rated restaurants such as Opus and Ledger Restaurant.

Salem is also one of the few towns and cities along the North Shore that residents can access Boston by train, car and boat.
